Understanding the role of widget

The widget is the interface of interaction installed on your site. It allows a visitor to chat with ELChat in the context of the configured site.

Depending on your configuration and the content available, he can:

  • send a text message;
  • use the voice when the browser allows;
  • attach an image;
  • consult proposed pages, products, documents or images;
  • use an CTA;
  • fill in a form;
  • resume a recent conversation;
  • consult its history when authenticated.

The widget relies on:

  • the indexed knowledge of the site;
  • the name, language and messages configured;
  • the chosen conversational role;
  • the CTAs and active forms;
  • the connectors, capacities, workflows and authorized agents when an action is required.

The widget is not the whole of ElChat. Channels, connectors, automations, agents and indicators continue to exist even when they are not visible in this interface.

::note[Proactive Commitment]

No active setting of automatic opening or generic proactive message n has been identified in the current settings. The widget opens at the initiative of the visitor. :::
