Connect Instagram

Permissions requested

The code uses instagram_basic, instagram_manage_messages, instagram_manage_comments, pages_show_list, pages_read_engagement, pages_manage_metadata and business_management.

Connecter

Section titled “Connecter”
  1. Open Integrations hub > Instagram;
  2. click Connect;
  3. Allow Meta in the window;
  4. select the proposed Instagram account;
  5. confirm the connection.

ELChat then tries to subscribe to the Page related to email feedback events, mentions, messages and returns.

Verify

Section titled “Verify”

From another account, send a message or add a test comment. Check the appearance of the conversation and try a controlled manual response.

The Disconnect button exists in the interface. Full Meta revocation and webhook cleaning must be verified in your environment: Functionality to check.

Example: Test a professional account

Section titled “Example: Test a professional account”

Select the professional Instagram account linked to the Meta page of test, send a message from another account and add a comment on a test publication. Check separately the arrival of the message and comment, then try a manual response.

The professional account and its linked page define the reception area. Two separate events make it easier to identify a permission or webhook problem before enabling an automatic response.
