Using images as knowledge

Images can be added as resources when visual information is useful in the context of ElChat.

The formats identified are: JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, BMP, TIFF and TIF, with a maximum size of 20 MB.

  1. Open Knowledge or Resources.
  2. Choose file import.
  3. Give a descriptive title to the image.
  4. Select the file.
  5. Send and wait for treatment to be completed.

Example title:Schéma des étapes de livraisonrather thanimage-004.png.

  • use a readable resolution;
  • avoid blurred or heavy catches;
  • do not place sensitive information in the image;
  • choose a title that explains the subject;
  • prefer a text document when the information needs to be regularly updated.

In Resources, supported images can display a thumbnail built directly by the browser. No external miniature processing is required in the current route.

  1. seek the resource;
  2. control its preview;
  3. wait for status Indexed ;
  4. test a question related to the topic;
  5. Replace and reindex the image if its quality or content changes.

Example: delivery schedule

Import a readable image namedSchéma des étapes de livraison — France, then test the question “What are the steps between order and delivery?”.

The title gives context when the thumbnail is viewed in Resources. If the schema contains too much text or often becomes obsolete, prefer a text procedure: it will be easier to update and test.
