Connect with OAuth

OAuth redirects you to the relevant platform to choose an account and grant the permissions displayed. ELChat then receives the necessary authorization; you do not copy access token or refresh token.

Relevant Connectors

Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Ads, OneDrive, Meta Ads, Hootsuite and Buffer use an OAuth path in the current implementation.

Route of the connectors Google

1. Open Actions IA > Connectors.
2. Click Connect.
3. A secure window opens above the dashboard.
4. Choose the Google account and accept the permissions displayed.
5. The window transmits the result to ELChat and then closes; you stay on the page.
6. For Analytics, Search Console or Ads, complete the Settings requested.

This route with contextual window is used by several Google connectors. Other suppliers can display a different authorization route, with return to ELChat.

If the window does not open

• allow pop-up windows for the ELChat domain;
• temporarily disable an extension that blocks authentication;
• restart the connection from the map;
• If you close the window before the end, do it again.

The window expires after five minutes if no valid response is received.

After authorisation

A status Connected confirms that the authorisation has been registered. Always take a reading test: it also confirms that the selected account has access to the resource and that the settings are correct.

For an OAuth connector, do not try to manually extract or paste an access token or a refresh token into ELChat. ::::

Example: choose the right Google property Analytics

If your Google account gives access to several properties:

1. select the account that owns the property of Maison Atlas;
2. end the OAuth authorization;
3. Enter the 123456789 numeric ID in Settings;
4. ask for an overview of the traffic of the last 28 days;
5. Compare the period and indicators with Google Analytics.

L G-XXXX measurement identifier does not select the Analytics property. The test over a known period checks both the account authorization and the selected setting value.
