Connect Concept
What is this connection for?
Section titled “What is this connection for?”Concept allows ELChat to access pages explicitly shared with internal integration. ELChat can search and view these pages, create a page in a configured database, change simple properties and add text.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”| Identifier | Role | Fictitious example |
|---|---|---|
| Internal integration token | Authenticates the Notion connection | secret_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxorntn_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
| Database ID | Sets the basis for creating new pages | xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
Step 1 — Creating Integration
Section titled “Step 1 — Creating Integration”- Open the Integration Scoreboard Concept.
- Create a internal integration or internal connection for the relevant workspace.
- Name her
ELChat. - Enable Read content, Update content and Insert content if you want all the actions implemented.
- Copy the token from the configuration section.
Official capabilities are described in the Documentation Concept.
Step 2 — Provide access to content
Section titled “Step 2 — Provide access to content”- Open the base or root page to make accessible.
- Open the menu
•••. - Select Connects or Connects, then add ELChat integration.
- Confirm access to children’s pages if Notion requests it.
An integration does not automatically see all the workspace. Content sharing is essential.
Step 3 — Find the database ID
Section titled “Step 3 — Find the database ID”Open the database in full page and copy its link. Identifier is the long 32 character suite located in the URL before parameters?. The dashes may be retained or removed.
Use the database ID for new pages, not a linked view ID or an ordinary page.
Step 4 — Connect Concept to ELChat
Section titled “Step 4 — Connect Concept to ELChat”- Open Dashboard > your site > IA Actions > Connectors.
- Click Connect on the Notion map.
- Paste the integration token.
- Stick the ID from the base.
- Validate.
Check connection
Section titled “Check connection”Ask ELChat to search for a test page shared with integration, and then consult it. Create a test page in the database only after this check.
Capacity available
Section titled “Capacity available”| Actual capacity | Type |
|---|---|
| Find accessible pages | Reading |
| View a page | Reading |
| Create a page in the configured database | Writing |
| Update a page | Writing |
| Add text content to a page | Writing |
ELChat does not delete a page, does not manage comments and does not reproduce all the complex properties of a database.
Reconnect, Disconnect and Troubleshoot
Section titled “Reconnect, Disconnect and Troubleshoot”Create a new secret, reconnect and test before removing the old one. For full revocation, disable in ELChat and also remove Notion connection integration.
- Page not found: share it, or share its root page, with integration.
- Unable to create: control basic ID and capacity Insert content.
- Modification refused: enable Update content and check sharing.
- Limit reached: Concept applies on average three queries per second per integration; Wait and try again.
Security and limitations
Section titled “Security and limitations”The token should only be seized in ELChat. Share only the necessary spaces. The current version communicates with the revision Concept2022-06-28recent structures of complex data sources or properties may require future adaptation.
Example: basis for tracking applications
Create internal integrationELChat, activate Read content and Insert content, share only the databaseDemandes supportwith this integration, then enter his ID in ELChat. Look for a test page before creating a new application.
Sharing limits visible pages and basic ID defines the destination of new pages. Starting with a playback allows you to detect a sharing forget without creating data in an incorrect database.
