What is this connection for?
Section titled “What is this connection for?”Brevo allows ELChat to view lists and contacts, analyze email campaigns and add or update a contact in a list.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”ELChat requires a ** Brevo API key**, usually in xkeysib-....
Get the
Section titled “Get the”- Log in to Brevo.
- Open the account menu.
- Access SMTP & API > API Keys.
- Generate a new key called
ELChat. - Copy it immediately; it will no longer be displayed in full.
The official procedure is in the rapid start of the API Brevo.
Login and verify
Section titled “Login and verify”- Open Dashboard > your site > AI Actions > Connectors.
- Click Connect on the map of Brevo.
- Paste the API key and confirm.
- Ask ELChat to list the contact lists and compare their name and volume with Brevo.
Available capacities

Default consent and list
Section titled “Default consent and list”Brevo does not automatically require a double opt-in for this action. The registration must only be executed after explicit consent of the contact and confirmation in ELChat.
The engine can use a default list, but the current form does not offer it. List the lists first and choose the exact ID.
Reconnect, disconnect and troubleshoot
Section titled “Reconnect, disconnect and troubleshoot”Generate a new key, reconnect and test before deleting the old one.
- 401/403: the key is invalid, revoked or the account does not allow the call.
- List required: use an ID returned by the list list.
- Contact already present: the action updates the contact and adds it to the requested list.
- No statistics: they concern a campaign already sent.
Security and compliance
Section titled “Security and compliance”Brevo does not propose here fine telescopes controlled by ELChat. Treat the key as a wide-access secret, monitor its use and keep proof of consent.
Example: enter a consent contact
Section titled “Example: enter a consent contact”After connecting the API key, list the available lists and choose the Newsletter — France — Consentis list. Then look for the test@example.com test profile, check your consent and request registration only if this consent is explicit.
The name of the list specifies the public and the basis of consent; prior search avoid creating a duplicate or entering the wrong address. Registration being a writing, keep a confirmation and check the result in Brevo.
