Select a source of knowledge

The choice of source depends on the location and frequency of the information.

Source Ideal for Point of vigilance
Website public content already structured exclude private or unnecessary pages
XML Sitemap controlled list of URLs check that the file matches the right domain
Document or table procedures, brochures, catalogues, structured data use an updated version and a specific title
Image visuals containing usable information control readability and format
Manual text short rule or information missing from other sources maintain changes manually
Imported pages set of pages prepared in CSV or spreadsheet correctly map columns
Imported products Structured catalogue clean references, prices, stock and visibility

Avoid adding several contradictory versions of the same content. If a document replaces the previous one, update the existing resource to trigger its reindexation.

Choose a source that contains an explicit answer to three or four real questions. You can check immediately:

  • the resource is indexed;
  • the title correctly describes it;
  • that the answer contains the correct information;
  • that an uncovered question does not produce an invented statement.
