Separate data by site

In ELChat, the site is the main work area. Knowledge, pages, products, conversations, connectors, capabilities, workflows and agents are handled in the context of the selected site.

Good practices

• create a separate site for each domain or activity requiring separate data and actions;
• check the selected site before an import or connection;
• name resources and capabilities with activity-specific vocabulary;
• connect only the external accounts corresponding to this site;
• perform a test with a specific question before posting.

Control before publication

Ask a question whose answer exists only within this perimeter. Then check the conversation, the source used and any proposed action. Repeat with information that belongs to another site: ELChat must not return it from this site.

Deletion

Do not delete a site to simply hide its widget. A deletion may concern a linked dataset. Prefer to disable the widget or remove its script until the deletion range has been validated.

Example: two separate activities

This separation prevents a response on training from being used in the shop and prevents an agent from mobilizing the wrong CRM or calendar. Test a site-specific question and verify that the source displayed belongs to the selected site.
