Connect OneDrive

OneDrive gives ELChat controlled access to files in the connected Microsoft account for searching, viewing, text repository and sharing.

The connection uses OAuth 2.0 Microsoft. You don’t copy any keys. ELChat asks:

  • Files.ReadWriteto read, create, update and delete files that the user has access to;
  • offline_accessto obtain a session renewal without requesting your password again at each call.

ELChat tools do not expose deletion or modification of an existing file, even if Microsoft permission is broader.

  1. Choose the personal or professional Microsoft account that has the useful files.
  2. Open Dashboard > your site > IA Actions > Connectors.
  3. On the OneDrive map, click Connect.
  4. Log on to the Microsoft page and read permissions.
  5. Accept, then let the browser return to ELChat.
  6. Check that the card displays Connect.

Ask ELChat to search for a test file and then view it. Check the name and content in OneDrive. Test sharing only after this reading.

ELChat does not delete files and does not modify their existing content. The repository creates a simple text file.

Use Reconnect if Microsoft or ELChat reports an expiration. To change your account, turn off and reconnect. Also withdraw the consent of the application from the authorized Microsoft account applications to completely revoke access.

The Microsoft tenant may require the consent of an administrator. Send the application to the Microsoft 365 manager; ELChat cannot circumvent this policy.

Check that it is in the OneDrive of the connected account and not in another user or an unaccessible SharePoint space.

##Share blocked

Microsoft 365 policies may prohibit external sharing or certain recipients. Control the tenant’s rule and file rights.

Microsoft permission is extended. Use a dedicated account or limited file perimeter, check sharing policies and keep human confirmation for any sharing invitation.

Example: OneDrive test space

Connect Microsoft account that owns the folderELChat — Tests, ask for file searchpolitique-retour-2026.txt, then consult its content. Then test the repository of a fictitious text file before any invitation to share.

Test file limits the consequences of permissionFiles.ReadWrite. Research and consultation check the correct account; the repository controls writing; sharing must remain a separate step with human confirmation.
