Administrative and visitor permits

ELChat distinguishes two concepts in the table of permissions.

Who can use the action?

• Admin only: the action is reserved for administrators in the dashboard.
• Visitor: the action may take place on a visitor-side route, subject to the chosen mode.

Who confirms?

When mode is Confirmation required:

• The visitor confirms: the request for confirmation appears in his conversation path;
• An advisor confirms: the action joins the line To be validated of the dashboard.

These options do not change the rights of the external account. For example, if the Google account or the Slack bot does not have the required access, an ELChat confirmation cannot circumvent this limit.

Two additional checks

The external connector defines what the account can do. ELChat then defines who can request this action and whether confirmation is required.

Example: Distinguish visitor and administrator

For a quote request, allow the visitor to open a form and provide contact information. For an action that modifies an advertising campaign or activates a workflow, choose Admin only and ask for confirmation from an advisor.

The first setting described which can run the course; the second described which must give the last agreement. A visitor should not receive an administration capability simply because the external connector supports it.
