Connect Google Calendar
What is this connection for?
Section titled “What is this connection for?”Google Calendar allows ELChat to view availability, offer slots and manage events, including Google Meet meetings.
Authentication and permission
Section titled “Authentication and permission”The connection uses OAuth 2.0: you connect directly to Google and you authorize ELChat. You don’t have any keys or tokens to copy.
ELChat requests the scopehttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar. Google describes it as an access to view, edit, share and delete the calendars available to the account. The ELChat tools, however, only expose the event and availability capabilities listed below. See the official reference for Calendar authorizations.
Step 1 — Preparing the Google Account
Section titled “Step 1 — Preparing the Google Account”- Choose the Google account that has the calendar to use.
- Check that this account can create and edit events on the main calendar.
- If you are using a shared calendar, check that the account has the right to change events**.
Step 2 — Connect Google Calendar to ELChat
Section titled “Step 2 — Connect Google Calendar to ELChat”- Open Dashboard > your site > IA Actions > Connectors.
- Click Connect on Google Calendar map.
- In the Google window, select the desired account.
- Read and accept the permissions requested.
- Return to ELChat: the card must go to Connect without replacing the dashboard page.
- Open Calendar settings in Actions IA to check the time zone and work schedules used in slot searches.
Check connection
Section titled “Check connection”Ask ELChat to check availability at a known date or to search for a test event. Compare the result to the Google calendar. Create a test event only after this reading.
What can ELChat do with Google Calendar?

ELChat does not manage secondary calendars, calendar sharings or complex recurrence rules as distinct functions.
Reconnect or Disconnect
Section titled “Reconnect or Disconnect”Click Reconnect if authorization expires. To change your account, turn off the connector and start again by selecting the right Google account. For full revocation, also remove ELChat from third party connections from Google account.
Common problems

Event not found or not editable
Section titled “Event not found or not editable”The connected account may not have access to the relevant calendar or only has a right to read.
Google Meet not created
Section titled “Google Meet not created”Check that the account and its organization allow the creation of Google Meet conferences.
Invitation not received
Section titled “Invitation not received”Check the participant’s address, spam and sending policies from the Google Workspace organization.
Security and limitations
Section titled “Security and limitations”The requested Google scope is wide. Connect a dedicated or limited account to the required calendars and keep active confirmations for cancellations and reprogrammings. Availability depends on the time zone and the calendars visible to the account.
Example: trade agenda in Europe/Paris
Connect the account that has the calendarDémonstrations commerciales, then configure in Timetable Adjustments:

09:00–18:00.
Ask for availability the next day at10:00, compare it with Google Calendar and check that a busy marked event is not proposed. The spindle and schedules explain why the same niche may be available or unavailable depending on the account and region.
