The widget does not appear

Quick diagnostic

Section titled “Quick diagnostic”
  1. Open the settings of the right site.
  2. Copy the script from Widget Installation.
  3. Check that the published version of the site contains this script.
  4. Click Test Connection.
  5. Reload the public page without cache or in a private window.
  6. Disable temporarily the content blockers for the test.

Frequent causes

  • script added only in a draft CMS;
  • ID from another ELChat site;
  • cache of the unpurged CDN or site;
  • security rule of the site that blocks the script;
  • widget disabled in its settings;
  • URL tested different from the recorded URL.

If the test indicates an error

Check that the public domain is accessible, then note the URL, time and the exact result. Do not insert the script several times to compensate: this can create unpredictable behavior.
