Enable and test widget
Two separate activations
Section titled “Two separate activations”In site settings:
- Widget enabled controls the display of the interface;
- IA enabled controls the production of responses IA.
Check both settings for a standard conversational path.
Test before opening to the public
Section titled “Test before opening to the public”- Use Test Connection to detect installation.
- Open the public website in a new window.
- Check the position and text of the button.
- Open the widget.
- Ask a question covered by knowledge.
- Test a reformulation.
- Ask an uncovered question and observe the withdrawal message.
- Find the conversation in the dashboard.
Success criteria
Section titled “Success criteria”- the button appears;
- the widget opens;
- the welcome message is correct;
- a message can be sent;
- a reply was received;
- the conversation appears in the tab Conversations ;
- the content offered opens the right destination.
temporarily disable
Section titled “temporarily disable”Disable the widget when you no longer want to display it. Disable only the AI if you have to maintain the interface but prevent automatic responses according to the behavior expected by your operation.

The site Conversations view remains read only for the administrator. Do not disable the AI on the assumption that an operator will be able to respond from this screen. :::
Example test recipe
Section titled “Example test recipe”For an e-commerce site, use this small scenario:
- send “What are your delivery times?” and check the knowledge answer;
- reformulate the question to control stability;
- ask for missing information and check back message;
- trigger the CTA for quotation request and check its destination;
- find the conversation in Conversations.
These tests isolate the three elements that may fail: the widget display, the IA response, and the link to a configured action. Note the expected result before the test in order to identify the correct setting.
