Subconfiguration Meta

The connection depends on the Meta application, its approved authorizations and webhooks configured on the ELChat environment.

Prerequisites

• a Facebook account administering at least one Page;
• the necessary rights on this Page;
• the context windows allowed for ELChat.

ELChat requests permissions actually present in the stream: pages_show_list, pages_read_engagement, pages_manage_engagement, pages_manage_posts, pages_manage_metadata, pages_messaging, business_management, pages_show_list7 and instagram_manage_messages.

Login

1. Open Integrations hub > Facebook;
2. click Connect;
3. complete the authorization in the Meta window;
4. back in ELChat, select a Page;
5. click Connect on his card.

You can then add other Pages. The map displays the conversations, messages, comments and answers available for the Active Page.

Check and log out

Send a test message or comment from a separate account, then check its reception. You can disconnect a single Page from its tab, or all Pages from the Facebook header. The interface warns that their associated conversations will be deleted.

Example: limit the first test to a Page

If the portfolio contains Maison Atlas and Maison Atlas — Boutique, select first only Maison Atlas in ELChat. Send a private message from another profile and add a test comment on a publication. Check each event before connecting the second page.

This approach allows to distinguish a problem of permission, webhook or routing without mixing two sources of conversation. The selected Page must be the one that the Meta account actually administers; its name is not sufficient to prove that the authorisations are correct.
