Understanding the status of resources

The state indicates where a resource is in its preparation. Wait until the status confirms that it is ready before testing its content.

The states displayed

State	Meaning	Recommended action
Pending	the resource was received	Wait
In queue	treatment is planned	wait and check later
In treatment	ELChat prepares the resource	do not restart immediately
Loan	the resource is ready to be used	test a question
Mistake	treatment failed	read message and correct source

A resource is waiting

Check:

1. whether other resources are already under way;
2. whether the planned treatment of the environment works;
3. if the state changes after a new page loading.

Do not multiply imports from the same file: you could create duplicates.

A resource is in error

1. Read the error message displayed on the map.
2. Check the file format and size.
3. Open the original file to confirm that it is not damaged.
4. Replace the resource if the file needs to be fixed.
5. Restart treatment when the source is valid.

Check after processing

Ask a specific question, then a reformulation. A ready resource may still be of little use if its content is empty, obsolete or difficult to interpret.

Readiness does not automatically mean “good quality”

The state confirms that the treatment is complete. Also use response tests and knowledge assessment to judge relevance.
