Connect Meta Ads
What is this connection for?
Section titled “What is this connection for?”Meta Ads allows ELChat to view the performance of a Facebook/Instagram ad account, then pause, resume or change the daily budget of a campaign.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”- a Facebook profile with access to the advertising account;
- The advertising account ID in the form
act_123456789or only its figures.
OAuth connection requests exactlyads_read, ads_managementandbusiness_management. These permissions cover the reading of advertisements, their management and access to the business portfolio necessary to resolve the account.
Find the ad account ID
Section titled “Find the ad account ID”Open Meta Ads Manager, select the account in the selector and copy its ID. It may appear with the prefixact_in the URL or account information.
Information to complete: Meta frequently changes the path of Business Suite menus. If the ID does not appear, ask the administrator of the business portfolio without deducting a number from the account name.
Connect Meta Ads to ELChat
Section titled “Connect Meta Ads to ELChat”- Open Dashboard > your site > IA Actions > Connectors.
- Click Connect on the Meta Ads map.
- Log in to Facebook and accept permissions requested.
- In Settings, paste the ad account ID.
- Record.
Check connection
Section titled “Check connection”Ask for the campaign list and then the account summary. Compare the name, currency, active campaigns and expenses in Ads Manager before any write action.

ELChat does not create a campaign, together or advertising. The default statistics cover the last 30 days until yesterday.
Reconnect, Disconnect and Troubleshoot
Section titled “Reconnect, Disconnect and Troubleshoot”The connector exchanges the initial authorization for a longer Meta token. Reconnect when ELChat reports its expiry. For total revocation, disable ELChat and also remove the application of Facebook integrations.
- Unobtainable account: check the ID and access the profile to the advertising account.
- Permission denied: The ELChat application or company must have the necessary Meta authorizations and the profile must be able to manage the account.
- Action rejected: the campaign may be archived, restricted or managed with a budget at another level.
- Incorrect budget: the value is entered in the currency of the account; Check it before confirmation.

Security
Section titled “Security”Permissions include advertising management. Reserve the entries to administrators, keep the confirmation and regularly check the applications allowed in Meta Business.
Example: Select the right ad account
If your Meta portfolio contains multiple accounts, connect the profile that administersMaison Atlas — France, then enter in Settings Identifieract_123456789. Ask for a list of campaigns and check the currency, name and active campaigns in Ads Manager.
Identifier limits readings and writings to the selected account; The portfolio name is not enough to identify the right destination. Do not test the budget change until after this comparison and keep the administrator confirmation.
