Explore a website
Objective: use the public content of the site as a source of knowledge. Prerequisite: URL and exploration rules recorded in the site settings.
Before you start exploring
Section titled “Before you start exploring”- Check the URL of the site.
- Reread the included and excluded pages.
- Remove private, obsolete or duplicated content.
- Save the settings.
Launch exploration
Section titled “Launch exploration”- Open the site in the dashboard.
- Access Knowledge.
- Choose the source Website.
- Check that the sitemap option is not enabled.
- Start exploration.
ELChat starts processing the site with the saved settings.
Follow the result
Section titled “Follow the result”Use:
- Pages to see the URLs discovered, their source, status and availability;
- Resources to track resources created;
- the progression displayed when the treatment is in progress.
Check Knowledge
Section titled “Check Knowledge”After completion of treatment:
- choose a specific page;
- Ask a question whose answer appears on this page;
- check the answer;
- check the statistics on the page when impressions or clicks are available.
When to restart
Section titled “When to restart”Restart exploration after:
- a major overhaul;
- a change in pages included or excluded;
- a major updating of content;
- an error that prevented certain pages from being processed.
