Account, sites and projects
The ELChat account
Section titled “The ELChat account”The account represents the main scope of your business or organization. In the current course, the user who completes the registration becomes the owner administrator.
In particular, the account carries the modular subscription and can include several sites.
The site or project
Section titled “The site or project”A site is the visible work unit in the dashboard. It includes its own configuration:
- URL and exploration rules;
- knowledge and resources;
- pages and products;
- conversations, forms and CTA;
- widget and channels;
- connectors and permissions;
- capabilities, workflows and agents;
- indicators and intelligence;
- modules and associated parameters.
Why create multiple sites
Section titled “Why create multiple sites”Create a separate site when you need to separate knowledge or operations.
| Situation | Recommended organization |
|---|---|
| Only one brand with one site | An ELChat site |
| Institutional site and shop with different content | Two ELChat sites |
| Several languages managed by separate sites | An ELChat site by linguistic scope if knowledge needs to be separated |
| Temporary testing environment | A dedicated site, clearly named, if your subscription and organization allow |
Site, channel and connector
Section titled “Site, channel and connector”These concepts are not interchangeable:
- the site carries the configuration;
- a channel receives interactions for this site;
- a connector gives access to a business tool as part of this site.
