Connect Klaviyo

What is this connection for?

Klaviya allows ELChat to find lists and profiles, consult email campaigns and their performance, and then register a contact with user confirmation.

What you need

ELChat requires a private API key Klaviyo in pk_... format. Do not use the public key or Site ID.

Create the key and its telescopes

1. Log in to Klaviyo.
2. Open Settings > API keys > Private API Keys.
3. Click Create Private API Key.
4. Name the ELChat.
5. Give the scopes necessary for the calls implemented:

• lists:read;
• profiles:read and profiles:write;
• subscriptions:write;
• campaigns:read.

6. Create the key and copy it immediately.

Klaviyo only displays the full key once and does not always allow to modify its scopes. See the official authentication documentation Klaviyo.

Login and verify

1. Open Dashboard > your site > AI Actions > Connectors.
2. Click Connect on the map Klaviyo.
3. Paste the pk_... private key and confirm.
4. Ask ELChat to list the lists, then look for a known test profile.

Available capacities

ELChat does not create or send a campaign. The simple or double opt-in behavior depends on the configuration of the Klaviyo list.

Limitation of current configuration

The engine provides a default list, but the current form does not provide information. List the lists first and use the selected ID when registering.

Reconnect, disconnect and troubleshoot

Create a new key with the same telescopes, reconnect and test before revoking the old.

• 403 / missing scope: recreate a key with the required scope.
• Profile not found: check the address and the registered Klaviyo account.
• List required: choose an ID returned by the list list.
• Subscription not visible immediately: Operation Klaviyo is treated as a mass task and the double opt-in can wait for confirmation of contact.

Security and compliance

The private key must remain secret. Give only the above scopes and only launch an inscription after explicit consent of the recipient.

Example: Select a consent list

After login, request the list list and choose the ID corresponding to Newsletter — France — Double opt-in. Look for the test@example.com profile, check its consent, and then enter it with confirmation.

The connector does not automatically provide a default list: the ID returned by reading is therefore important. The name of the list explains its purpose and method of registration; Then check the profile sheet in Klaviyo, as the double opt-in can delay the final appearance.
